Calories Burned for Various Activities
This calculator is designed to estimate the approximate number of calories you will burn when your peform a particular activity.  This calculator is useful when you are on a program to lose weight, or more appropriately, burn fat.  You may use it in concert with a dietary log to estimate how much weight you will lose or gain over a given period.  It can be used to record activities performed and/or to plan your activities in advance.

For some activities, the calculater estimates calories burned based upon your current body weight, elapsed time, and distance travelled.  For all other activities the calculator estimates calroies burned based upon your current body weight, and elapsed time.
Instructions
Select an activity from the drop down menu.  Input your current weight, and select the appropriate weight units, kg or lbs.  Input the elapsed time for performing the activity.

Some activities require you to input the distance travelled in performing the activity, and select the appropriate disance units, km, m, miles, yards, or feet.

Click the Calculate button and the estimated number of calories burned for your selected activity will be displayed below.
